DStv Error Codes 

E04 Please insert Smartcard The Smartcard may not have been put in correctly.  Switch the decoder off at the plug.  Remove the Smartcard and put it back in with the chip on the Smartcard facing down.  Switch the decoder back on again.  If this error continues, take your decoder and Smartcard to TV & Video Doctor for testing.
E06 Smartcard fault.  Cannot Read                                                     The Smartcard may not have been put in correctly.  Switch the decoder off at the plug.  Remove the Smartcard, and put it back in with the chip on the Smartcard facing down.  Switch the decoder back on again.  If this error continues, take your decoder and Smartcard to TV & Video Doctor for testing.
E07 Checking Smartcard If this error does not clear within 30 seconds, remove the Smartcard.  Wipe it gently with a dry cloth and put it back in with the chip on the Smartcard facing down.  If this error continues, take your decoder and Smartcard to TV & Video Doctor for testing.
E107 Your Smartcard and decoder are not paired Please contact the DStv Call Centre for assistance.
E16 Service is currently scrambled Transmission might be temporarily suspended.  Press MENU on your remote control, then 4 to check your Mail Messages.  If you have a notification from DStv to pay your account, then payment needs to be made before services can be reactivated.
E17 Ensure Smartcard is inserted in the decoder Make sure the Smartcard is inserted in the decoder.  If this doesn't work, please call the DStv call centre.
E19 Service is currently scrambled.  Please wait. Please wait a few minutes for your subscription status to be verified.  If the message doesn't clear in two minutes, call the DStv Call Centre.
E30 Checking the subscription status Please check that the cables from the satellite dish are securely connected to the correct inputs on the back of the decoder.  Switch the decoder off at the plug, wait 10 seconds, and switch it back on again.  If the error is not cleared, contact the DStv Call Centre.
E32 Your Smartcard is not switched on or activated, or the channel that you are trying to view may not be part of your package. Your Smartcard is not switched on or activated, or the channel that you are trying to view may not be part of your package.
E34 Cannot read Smartcard The Smartcard may have been inserted incorrectly.  Switch the decoder off at the plug.  Remove the Smartcard and put it back in with the chip on the Smartcard facing down.  Switch the decoder back on again.  If this error continues, take your decoder and Smartcard to TV & Video Doctor for testing.
E37 Invalid channel number The channel number you selected is not in this viewing environment.  To see the list of all channels, press the DOWN arrow on your remote control, or press TV and select My Channels.
E38 Program Map Table not available Please check that the cables from the satellite dish are securely connected to the correct inputs on the back of the decoder.  Switch the decoder off at the plug, wait for 10 seconds, and switch it back on again.  If this error is not cleared, contact the DStv Call Centre.
E39 Service not running Please check that the cables from the satellite dish are securely connected to the correct inputs on the back of the decoder.  Switch the decoder off at the plug, wait 10 seconds, and switch it back on again.  If the error is not cleared, please contact the DStv Call Centre.
E42 Parental Control PIN blocked You have set your parental control levels, but have forgotten your PIN and need to have it reset.  Or you've entered the incorrect PIN five times.  Logon to Self Service at the Dstv website (with your Connect ID), and use the online fix error service to reset your PIN.
E43 Not for this country This channel or programme is not available for viewing in your country.
E44 No PG status is available This channel or programme is blocked for viewing.  Please enter the correct PG PIN to watch it.  Forgotten the PG PIN?  Please contact the DStv Call Centre.
E45 Service not allowed Switch the decoder off at the plug.  Wait 10 seconds and then switch it back on again.  If the error is not cleared, take both the decoder and Smartcard for testing at TV & Video Doctor.
E50 No services available No channels exist in the package you have selected.  Select another package.
E70 Services not available on TV2 No channels exist in the package you have selected.  Please select another package.  Or this channel is not available in your secondary viewing environment, please try another channel.
E71 Song title and artist info not available Song title and artist information cannot be viewed on the secondary viewing environment.  Please use your primary viewing environment.
E72 Rescan in progress Decoder is busy scanning.  Please wait for the scanning process to finish.
E73 TV link overload Check your connection or consult your manual.  There may be an error with your installation.
E74 LNB1 overload Check that the cables from the satellite dish are securely connected to the correct inputs on the back of the decoder.  Switch the decoder off at the plug, wait 10 seconds and switch it back on again.  If the error is not cleared, contact the DStv Call Centre.
E75 LNB2 overload Check that the cables from the satellite dish are securely connected to the correct inputs on the back of the decoder.  Then switch the decoder off at the plug, wait 10 seconds and switch it back on again.  If the error is not cleared, please contact the DStv Call Centre.
E76 Your second TV service is not enabled.  Please contact MultiChoice for assistance. TV2 is not enabled.  You are not enabled to view this channel, or your account has been suspended.  Please contact the DStv Call Centre for assistance.
XTRAVIEWNETWORKRESET Waiting for communication If you had a power outage and your secondary SDPVR decoder in your Xtraview setup is displaying a "Waiting for Communication" message, selecting the XtraviewNetworkReset code should clear this message.  For all other XtraView setups, wait 15 minutes for the connection to be restored.
